                    I don't think the Glaucous Macaw has been actually declared extinct. It's still very possible that a very small number still survive somewhere.
But I do know that there are quite a few well-preserved specimens in museums, perhaps the species can be resurrected through cloning one day? I certainly hope so.

                    That is very true, but there is still some hope... I mean, look at the Coelacanth.
Coelacanths were thought to have gone extinct in the Late Cretaceous, but were rediscovered in 1938 off the coast of South Africa. That's millenia we're talking about here... and besides, there is the cloning thing I mentioned. It could work.
