I don't know if its my glasses or lighting in the room, but I'm getting a some anaglyph ghosting. Try optimizing the colors and putting the figure on a lighter background. It is very impressive that you are able to draw this, most people cannot produce depth abstractly!

oh man does it work at all in 3d or is it just awful? i don't have a 3d monitor, although my graphics card is compatible. this isn't actually 3d, i was just playing with the r/g 3d effect, not actually making it 3d.

You don't need a 3d monitor to view anaglyph (red/blue) 3d images, just a good set of anaglyph glasses. Most of the effect centers around the subject's legs, where there is the most red/blue. Keep in mind that the brain, being highly attuned to seeing depth, can perceive it even when the cues are very sparse.

And really, I'm the one who should be feeling embarrassed right now :P

not at all!! i think it is super super cool you looked at it with your glasses, that is way awesome and flattering! i have actually been looking at getting some anaglyph glasses (although i thought i needed a spiffy monitor too? woops!) because to make my art legitimately 3d would be really intense and awesome!!

As someone who does 3d photography I definitely am pleased that you are interested in doing that.
