kazecat's Julian Hippo is sitting on my tail! He likes to squash things! This was a random idea I came up with while sharing a table with him at Anthrocon 2012. Hopefully I can come up with some better squashing pics in the future. I do love the idea of larger characters smooshing smaller ones with their bulk! =D

I've been trying to color this one for a while. I wasn't having any luck in MyPaint, SmoothDraw, or Photoshop. I installed Painter 9 and gave it a go, and things just clicked. I really love the blending tools in that program! It's a mess of bugs and poor design decisions, but it has great tools. There are still problems with this pic, but I think I've learned all I can from it and wanted to get it finished. Hopefully I am starting to improve on making my art look less flat and more like it wants to pop off the screen!
