He's Nauvra's brother and only surviving family, most of whom perished in the Brotherhood of scales War. The little hatchlings had been brought up by a human farmer. His barn had become their little lair, they'd keep his livestock safe from predators and help with heavy lifting and farm work and were sheltered and hidden.
