doodling with SAI and my tablet, still cant get the hang of it but I try.

anyone have any tips on sketching with SAI?

Very nice, I think the trick for using SAI is to use a relatively large canvis to be able to draw a good sketch on. Then, its a case of using a pencil/brush set to your liking to draw with.

ah I just used the pen and set it on the lowest setting, I should use the brush next

the canvas I use was at 1000 X 1000 pix

Yeah, quite a lot of artist I've seen livestream tend to use a custom pen or brush they've set up to their liking. Also, they switch between using a brush or pen to see what works best.
