This is the prologue to a novel I am writing, titled "Atlantis".

Over-all story synopsis:
When a nuclear explosion in a small Mexican village kills his father, Jack, an intern at Barley's Banking, goes to the Mexican village to recover whatever remains of his father's belongings and research. Little does he know, Jack will also discover a clue to secrets about not only his past, but about the first civilization- Atlantis.

I plan for this novel to have at least 50,000 words (a healthy size for a first novel, yes?). Since it's November, which is National Novel Writing Month, I plan to finish this novel by November 30th. That means that, starting tomorrow, for the next 15 days, I have to write at least 3,000 words per day in order to achieve (and possibly surpass) my goal. Wish me luck! ^^
