Almost makes me tear up a bit.. I remember when I was only a year old, I got my german shepherd Max. He lived 15 cherished years before he passed away in my arms a few days before my 16th birthday.. Here's to many good years with Apollo, like I had with my g-shep.

I've been a German Shepherd type of dude all my life, every pet I've ever owned... they're just so doggone SMART, even at a younger developing age. They're also dutifully loyal and super-awesome at keeping the homestead safe and secure. Also they're GREAT with children! All-around super-dogs, those G.Sheps are!
