Just one moment when you realize that all you need is right there in front of you. Garret held Rain close as they relaxed and watched the news, the volume barely audible. Some report about some random disaster occurring around the globe that everyone pretends to care about. Some celebrity who cheated on their wife or a politician getting fired. Garret wasn't paying attention to the news. He was paying attention to what was important to him, he was paying attention to Rain and holding him close as if to convey with actions that he would always be there to protect him.
But Rain would never return the message. Being well aware of his best friend's feelings, he chooses to play dumb and ignore what Garret is trying to tell him. Rain loves his friend but not in the way he wants him to. Why ruin a good thing? Garret knows Rain will take some time to break. Maybe not soon but eventually Rain will have to face what he's been denying himself for so long. But until then the two friends will just have to sit together as friends, letting the warm light poor into the room creating a haunting ambience of gold and yellow rays from the city lights. Even though they may not be together, Garret will still enjoy this moment. He can to be close to Rain and not have to share him.
The setting is chilling yet carries an essence of romantic awe.
After so many commissions I decided to do a little something for me.
Different art style yet again, but still cannon to my story.

With the colors and lighting I was trying to go for a bitter sweet moment. I actually have the story all planned out now. I know how it will end, who Rain chooses if he chooses anyone at all, and the fate of every character.
Rain Garret and Tim do this sort of thing all the time. It's just the typical closeness they display with one another.
