I'm readying my recipes for the giftboxes this holiday season. My wife and her coworkers are lucky, because they get to be my lab rats for the recipes. This is my first batch of goodies. Up top is peanut butter graham cracker M&M pecan cookies (I've been asked to leave the pecans out next time, and I think I should go easier on the peanut butter), and the bottom is double decker peanut butter and chocolate fudge. They both came out great.
Hey, be sure to check out my recent journal if you like the idea of cookies. :)

Walmart has some really cute plastic containers that we bought for our goodie boxes. They were $3.50 for three containers and look like this: http://susanyuen.files.wordpress.co.....g_6003wtmk.jpg
They also have other designs that are cute and would work for you I bet! It's over in the kitchen section at the end of an aisle. They've got a ton of different sizes, too. c:

Yes they are 2 different things, lmao XD Although together that would be all nuts+fruits and stuff and no cookies, lmao.
3.75 Flour
.75t Salt
1.5t soda
1c butter(softened)
.75c sugar(white) + 1c sugar(brown, i like light but you can use dark too give them a slightly richer flavour if you need more richness on top of all that lmao)
2 eggs
1.5T vanilla
1.5c chocolate chips
2/3c Peppermint sticks crushed up(into smallish chunks). It takes about 2.5 candy canes to do this job up right, or 3-4 cane sticks.
1c chocolate fudge, cut into tiny diced bits(I make this fresh but you can probably find it in the grocer)
Oven to 350, grease your baking sheet(I need about 3 for this recipe). If your fudge recipe makes it heat sensitive that is fine too but line your tray with aluminum foil and make a little wall around the edge so you dont have to clean your oven later.
Mix flour, salt, soda in a bowl, set aside.
Cream butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs together. Beat in the dry stuff. Stir in your chocolate chips and fudge chunks. It should now look like a horrible mess. But smell amazing.
Scoop out with a small cookie scoop little balls of dough. I use a table table-spoon and just heap it in there and roll it with my hands(With water though to prevent sticking). Use your thumb to push them down in the centre so they have a little divet. Smush your peppermint pieces into the cookies. Sprinkle with sea or rock salt(LIGHTLY) if desired. Bake for 7-10 minutes, or until edges start to turn golden brown(Or if your fudge made them super dark, just poke the centres).
Let them cool on the tray about 8 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack with a spatula.
