Yeargh! Get out da way!
Okay, so this is Fiat, a laaarge red-tailed hawk, female, juvenile. As in shes not even a year old. As such, she's a little weird... fantastic bird, most of the time, but every so often she shows a mean streak.
Besides that, yup, shes coming in for a landing on my glove. I can't believe I got this shot, in all honesty, Im super happy with it. POV of a rabbit, aka food.

Usually they do land in the same fashion each time. All depends, though, on wind and angle of flight and landing, too. Some birds, also, dont backwing or soften their landing, they just slam right in. Some come in low, swoop upwards and land lightly right on the glove. Some come in high and land with some rapid flaps to slow themselves down.
