Red roos such as this one are surprisingly softer than any other roo I've touched. A big surprise! Just like touching velvet.

Roosniffs are irresistible indeed! What I love the most is holding them sideways and nuzzling the fur on their backs and the back of their necks. Fmrrffmm! Roo!

It always looks so vaguely ...sad in all your pictures. Probably something about the huge expressive eyes. =)

Kangaroos tend to either look sad or angry. I think it's the downturned shape of the mouth, plus that sort of furrowed eyewhisker thing they have going on. I'm pretty sure he was thinking about eating his ice cream cone, though.

Eager, hungry roos can scratch you if you're carrying food and you don't feed them fast enough. I got scratched once and had the scar for 3 weeks. And the roo wasn't even aggressive. They just have very sharp claws.

Yep, he goes by the name of Slurpee. There's a few more shots of him around in my gallery, plus some that I don't think I've gotten around to posting yet. Getting a nose-smooch from a kangaroo was definitely one of those "made my whole year" sort of moments. :3
