Bio:
Maxwell Thibodeaux wasn’t there when his twin daughters Tessa and Tami were born and his wife died in childbirth. With his hugely successful cosmetics company, Seduire, on the brink of possible financial trouble, he considered a stockholder meeting far more important. His wife’s funeral was a melancholy annoyance, whatever bits of sorrow that had crept into his heart quickly forgotten once he was back at the office.
Growing up surrounded by wealth on a plantation near the Bayou Lafourche, Louisiana, Tessa and Tami rarely saw their father and earned little more than a grunt and a nod of greeting when they did. Aside from the endless parade of nannies and tutors that came and went, the twins only had each other, spending every moment of every day together, playing or pulling pranks on their governesses.
By their early teens, the girls had come into their own as confident, self-assured, and beautiful young ladies. They did everything together, their likes and dislikes almost entirely similar. Their personalities were not entirely interchangeable, however, and it soon became apparent that they approached matters differently. Tessa grew to enjoy the propriety of their wealthy life, preferring fine dresses, tea parties, and the high society of Louisiana’s elite, while Tami felt more at him in denim and flannel, wading outside in the muck and wrestling in the swamp water. Despite this, the twins dealt with each other’s likes and couldn’t bear to be apart for long stretches of time.
Over the past fifteen years, Seduire had slowly been hemorrhaging money, its profits and prospects sinking. Desperate for some way to revitalize his failing company, Maxwell began experimenting with new and potentially dangerous cosmetics. However, when the FDA denied all of his concoctions for furson testing, Maxwell knew that if he couldn’t get something new on the shelves then Seduire would go under. Fortunately for him, he knew where he could get two test subjects.
Luring Tess and Tami to his lab by inviting them for a tour of his company, the first time he’d ever wanted to show them his work, the twins were excited at the prospect of their father finally wanting to do more with them. However, once they arrived, he locked them in an animal testing chamber and coldly and methodically went about pumping different experimental perfumes inside. Each was supposed to be groundbreaking, incorporating suggestive properties that could make one more seductive or even promote robust health. All he had to do was prove that there were no medical side effects.
But his hopes were quickly and violently dashed.
After hours of exposure to the mixed perfumes, the twins managed to break the door to the test chamber down. Their bodies had grown in size, with strength to match, and they both had a crazed look in their eye. As Maxwell soon found out, the over-exposure to the melded perfumes had tweaked their minds. The suggestive and seductive properties had become a permanent part of their personalities, giving them not only the ability to seduce others, but a pathological and undeniable passion for others.
But with their passion came a dark side. This betrayal by the man who had ignored them all their lives was the final straw. Together, they choked and pummeled their father to death, feeling not a shred of love left for him. And, after their first kill, they discovered the feeling of blood on their hands not very disturbing at all.
With Maxwell “tragically” killed in a mysterious fire at his laboratory, Tessa and Tami inherited Seduire. They finished their father’s work and modified the chemicals in the perfumes until they were accepted by the FDA. With the company back on the rise, the twins had all the funding they needed to work in secret, continuing to develop the old formulas that turned them into what they are today.
If one part of their father rubbed off on them, it was the unwillingness to let law stop them. They tested the limits of their personal cosmetics’ control on innocent bystanders. Rarely were they harmed, only disoriented and left with strange urges. However, this was enough to attract the attention of some of Louisiana’s low-ranking superheroes. Tessa and Tami didn’t mind the attention at all; rather, they enjoyed the upgraded challenge to their cosmetics’ power, and soon found that even these heroes could fall under the cosmetics’ spell.
That’s when they first laid eyes on War Wolf.
The Grant City heroine had made the news in their hometown after taking down a Louisiana-based arms smuggler, the article complete with a grainy picture of the heroine on a rooftop. Even with the picture’s low quality, the twins fell immediately in love, their passion bubbling to its peak. They had to find her!
Armed with their specialized and deadly perfumes and cosmetics, the twins set out for Grant City. In order to lure the heroine to them, they took on jobs in the city’s seedy underworld, their unique brand of toxic homicide attracting assassination contracts. Just as in their home state, they even managed to defeat a couple minor heroes. However, just as the Marelli mob family sought to hire her for a hit that would surely earn War Wolf’s attention, the heroine herself brought the Marellis crumbling down, ruining that avenue of opportunity.
Only a couple weeks later, the sisters received a message from a former death-dealing colleague in Grant City named Violetta, informing them that she had moved to Colmaton herself and that she suspected War Wolf was coming after her. She offered the twins a contract to take out War Wolf and get the heroine off her back, a job that Tami and Tessa would have taken for free. Their single-minded passion driving them, the sisters set their sights on Colmaton. Though War Wolf brought them there, the prospect of so many other heroes and heroines to seduce and make their own was a thrill unlike any they’d ever felt.
Tessa and Tami knew they’d love Colmaton. And if its citizens and heroes didn’t love them back? Well…
The Tongue Twister Sisters would make them.
--
Personality:
Tessa and Tami are passionate and dominative at heart, seeking to take control over those they are attracted to, whether that be by force or through seduction. Tessa tends to be more proper, having taken a liking to the high society lifestyle in which she was raised. She prefers subtlety and more liberal usage of cosmetic in order to bring a super to their knees. Tami, on the other hand, enjoys being more physical and will first employ her prehensile tongue and overwhelming strength to subdue a hero.
The twins share an unbreakable bond and each will look out for the other sister no matter what. Though they may sometimes quarrel, they are quick to make up and share everything they create or steal.
Even though they have and will kill, they prefer not to, mostly due to the face that they end up falling for their targets. Instead, they would unmask a captive hero and force them into retirement through blackmail rather than kill them. Or, in cases where the hero can’t be trusted but their love is still too strong to kill them, the sisters would sell the hero off.
They are uninhibited and expressive with their passion, even risking their own safety and freedom to quench their psychological need for it.
