it is defined as a culture i believe. Its is very diverse in particulars. Some enjoy dressing as full suits (animal hybrids) while others enjoy just wearing some ears and tails. Other furry's are more just the artist who draw, the fantasy of animal and humanoid figure as one, while others draw quadrupeds.
Like any sort of community it really depends on how you look at it. Some are even considered closet furs which enjoy this entire fantasy but do not show or part take in conventions, or wear any clothing or such to resemble anything to the community.

Think of me a a person who prefers to discover identity from people who are / have experianced the topic at hand. I could research on google from other people who do there own stuff are twist and turn words to empose their own opinoin more than the truth.
