'In the heat of the hunt, not a sound penetrates the otherworldly atmosphere of the forest. Neither bird song nor insects buzzing heard, as the pair of orc and ursine stalk the green laden land. The orc, Zezhian, so confident in his tracking skill, has left his hunting dagger sheathed. Aside from his strong belief in his own quickness to draw steel before the kill, he is very much aware that should he falter for even a second’s breadth, his companion, Arctos, would make short work of their intended prey.'

The third in a series of pictures  punktiger has commissioned me depicting his orc character Zezhian, as well an image that easily sucked up as much time as the last two...combined. But being the wonderful generous fellow he is it was time well spent, and I'm relatively happy with how it turned out (I redid some branches and leaves enough times so that I'll probably never be completely happy with them.) I am very happy with how my very first non-anthro animal came out however, Arctos was probably the most enjoyable thing to do in this entire picture (probably because he was the easiest thing, too.)
