Alicorns are the mary-sues of the ponies. Better to avoid those. (aside from the fact that there's only three alicorns in the pony universe..)

I created this body form myself; if you look at the designs they are quite different. I do not trace my ponies as the MLP pony designs are quite a polluted pool of constantly used forms.

I don't know why I can't have myself an alicorn as a creation-type pony :P it's not like I'm murdering anyone here.

Ooohhh nonono, I didn't mean you traced anything. And I'm not saying either you can't have an alicorn pony OC.... just that I wouldn't, as they're (as a species/breed) kinda overpowered and that is seen as typical Mary Sue-ing.

Gee that is truly a shame. That you two had to sob and moan over a fan made character. I wasn't aware that someone else's creation based on a popular children's show could damage one so much that they had to declare this state of pain so openly on their comment page like a child. Leaving no critique to actually be of use, you're gonna pander this drivel like you're somehow above an internet pop culture (while still flocking to the ever popular face palming to illustrate a point you still couldn't put into words, good job there).

Please tell me, what is so wrong for an artist to make the ever dreaded "Mary Sue Alicorn" you guys spout off like its a contagion that needs to be purged? There isn't anything deep about it, it is just for fun and fancy between friends. So someone made a horse with wings and a horn, big deal? You're acting as if this speaks something on a major psychological level, but news flash you can take your pseudo-freudian skills somewhere else.

I can understand a frustration over a saturation of certain content on the web, I'm not too fond of those ever abused rage faces, slenderman, and the like. However the difference in how I handle those things is that I will generally IGNORE THEM if I have nothing better to contribute or say about the topic. Just let sleeping dogs lie man, is it that much of a hassle to NOT hit the reply button?

If you're going to be complaining about the choice of pony much like a fanatic would, please also check yourself out the door and take a break from the net. No one honestly cares how much the introduction of a fan character is going to disrupt the canonical universe of a FICTITIOUS children's cartoon based on sentient magical equines. Is it going to bring you irreparable physical and mental harm? No? Then seriously don't even start with that kind of smug attitude where you think you know better and ought to police a subject that's existence is bent on fun.
