Drools! Punkin pie is my late-wife's and my FAVORITE pie with pecan a close second. My Mother's family owned a 10,000 acre Pecan Plantation in Southern Louisiana that has now become much of Baton Rouge. They had slaves to work the Pecan trees, whereas most plantation owners of the time had cotton plantations. Needless to say (So why should I say it?), Pecans, pralines, and pecan pies have been a BIG part of my life.
