All that snow looks like fun. The several couples look happy. Great work so far!

Woah, I was just sketching up something like this to sell as a 'your character here' thing but I sucked at composition and whatnot so I gave up. This looks fantastic and now that I know from experience how hard it would be, I have a lot of respect for you, haha.

Oh wow thanks! I never get comments from other artists, that was really nice of you! I honestly just started with the background and kept in mind some balance in terms of composition (one big spot here, to mediums spots opposite sorta thing) and started with honest people-blobs (like silhouettes).

I think part of my problem was canvas size and the fact that I wanted to include sledding and thus, a hill, which pushed the camera distance back pretty far so it was more of a landscape painting with some people in it. But I didn't want to draw a bunch of very tiny people and I'm not all that great at perspective yet, so my tweaking of angles and trying to be clever with my fore and backgrounds didn't work out.

The way you have the skiers at the top of the slope was a much better idea, but for what I wanted to draw [sledders in mid-sled with some snowball fight action and a couple building a snowman], it would have been better as a bunch of closer cropped pictures instead of one big one and I got frustrated so I gave up. XD

I'm still thinking about drawing them separately cause I love winter clothes. :P

I just really love the variety of yours and yet, it's so consistent. This is gonna look awesome finished and I can't wait to see it!

Yeah, tobogganing is super fun but super awkward to integrate into a bigger piece. I personally wanted to make a couple folks sliding down a slope with this one as well but without making everyone tiny, like you said, there was really no way and ended up giving boards to two of the characters anyways. Alternatively you could have two teams of two hooligans at the top of your hill getting pushed down the top gearing for a race!
