...Or a quick sketch of Clay, having undergone some design changes.
[Backstory]
Rather than the usual variety of dragon, Clay is what are known as Brutes, which are known for a propensity, and taste, for fighting, in any form. Whether to settle a score, or just to blow off some steam. The rest of the settings dragons essentially use them as their muscle, resulting in the stereotype of Brutes in general being somewhat dim, and with hair-trigger tempers.
Unlike most Brutes, Clay is quite laid-back, and slow to anger. He also tends to live in his own little world. This tends to be a shock to others when he reveals that he actually is quite intelligent. He tends to butt heads (figuratively and literally) with other brutes over a multitude of issues: his more relaxed personality, his facepaint (Brute culture looks down on facepaint, on the basis that if you have to use facepaint to intimidate someone, you aren't a particularly good warrior. It's an honor thing.) and his use of shapeshifting magic when he does fight. Dragons in general also look down at him for treating the rest of the races as equals, believing themselves superior. Not that he cares, anyways.
[/backstory]
For some reason, I really like how his eyes came out.
