The wings seem a bit high up to me. I draw them as sprouting from the shoulderblades, which looks more natural.

I like the image, it's really cute. But like you I have misgivings about the wings. There are wings on pretty nearly every other anime-style character it seems, and it makes you think of default costumes little girls wear to go trick or treating. You have t ask yourself: is this really a character you expect to fly? If it is, wings are fine (though maybe they should be robust enough to fly with, and not grow out of the character's neck). If its just to look girly and precious, maybe wings aren't that good an idea.
