Here's a few magical adoptables. They're harpy like creatures who capture souls through love. They harvest the soul of any mortal who loves them until the mortal dies. The age of the person who's soul they harvest is added to their own lifespan, so they can live longer.
The stone on their chest is where they keep their harvested souls. If the stone is destroyed, they lose all the souls they have captured, leaving them with their original lifespan, which is 200 years. If they've already passed their original lifespan when their stone is destroyed, they die. They can have children with mortals, which will automatically be born as Soul Catchers themselves. The only way for them to get a new stone when their own is broken, is to steal the stone of their own child. :'(
