9 x 12 pencil
A workup piece for a colored drawing.
The colored piece will incorporate copic markers and color pencil and I will attempt the iridescent colors of the peacock in her garb, throne and BG.
Been working off and on on this piece for several months.
Critique welcome. I will make adjustments for the color piece.

This piece is going to be finished graphite only (and will be for sale), then I will copy it, make corrections and then use the modified version with only the basic lines as an overlay to transfer light lines to the drawing paper for the color piece.
Probably won't start color version till after the first of the year and then post WIPs as I go.
Thanks for your interest!

Of the transfer process? Sure. if you want, I'll give you my entire process from sketch to color. I have a WIP piece right now and all the sketch and copywork right here. just got to shoot and post. Not much to it really and I'd be happy to do it. Just say the word and I'll post everything in my DA stash and give you links.
I can't decide if ther stare is delighted because she sees a friend, a foe driven before her, or some hapless minion finally made the one mistake that allows her to have his head on a silver platter... literally.
wonderful expression, wonderful details wonderful pencilwork, and wonderful overall look. can't wait to see how the finished looks like, and I hope I can buy it... probably not, there must be a lot of demand.
but, still.

Thanks! I worked a bit to get that intense look. I guess it's a, "This is my chair and you'll have to fight me for it!", stare.
If you really are interested in it, let me finish it and we can talk. I usually sell my pieces at con art shows and sold only one out of show. Sold 3 at MFF but there really isn't a demand yet as I am a relative unknown and still have a lot to improve upon. I'm working on 2 commissions for one guy but I really haven't opened for them yet. If this piece turns out, it will be my most detailed yet. It's going to be a while yet before I get to the color version, Let me know if you're interested.

this statement sounds as neat a challenge as you can get. I bet she's waiting for anybody to take her up on it. :)
I am interested indeed. :) question is, do you have a price estimate yet?
as for being unknown, you already have a lot of faithful followers, and I guess as long as you show your art around there will be more. especially on the internet nothing is as "deadly" as keeping silent for long periods of time.
hm, comissions. which work out better for you, havign detailed scenes and descriptions, or having thrown references before you and otherwise free reign?
personally I like the latter, though I don't mind if a customer knows what they want. as a customer myself I tend to let the artist do what comes to their mind. :)
