lol....that's a good point,but his name actually does mean "Wolf" in French......and for legal reasons,when CASTLE OF CAGLIOSTRO was first released in the U.S.,they had to rename him "Wolf" in the dub script :p .....

Though you could have made him a tanuki and made everyone guess the reference (the English Sub version of "Rumble Royal", where Lupin remarks "It's a mutual deceit between a fox and a racoon dog", though "Rumble Royal" was part of the red jacket series).

I have to confess that I don't know the Lupin-Comic. I just know the original thief in Paris during the "Belle Epoque"

Lupin is actually the great,great Grandson of the original Arsene Lupin....the Mangas have been published since 1967,there's been three TV series,several movies and OVAs,and a live action Japanese movie,with talk of a Hollywood version!....unfortunately,there was also a nasty legal dispute with the estate of Maurice Leblanc over the use of the Lupin name,which,thankfully,was finally settled......

LUPIN! *glomps* I'm such a sucker for Lupin 3rd. I so love the series. The manga is a bit odd at the beginning but once Monkey Punch settles down with a cast of characters it becomes also quite fun to read. And yes, you _must_ do more Lupin art. They look really funny and great as wolf and fox. I'm surprised how well you got Lupins self confident grin considering its a different angle on a muzzle. Whoot. Totally love it! n________n
