Black city is very dark and ruled by greed, with trainers scattered around waiting to be battled around every corner. Devon moved to this city when he was 5 years old but back then it had been smaller, more of a town. In recent years, it's grown overpopulated and much darker.
His parents, who were CEO's within the city were too busy to raise him and so growing up he was left alone most of the time. He was bullied quite a bit for not having an interest in Pokemon during that time and it wasn't until he started coming across abandoned pokemon that he decided to become a trainer.
Living in the city as it grew became difficult because of the hostile battle environment and had forced his pokemon to evolve quickly. Seeing how it strained them, he left on a journey to explore different regions and discover new pokemon.
☆Personality:☆
He is super aloof.
He'd walk away from you in the middle of a conversation, especially if it's about battling. He has a hard time believing trainers really love their pokemon. He also not an outwardly expressive person and his pokemon know that his feelings come with non-verbal cues such as touching. Not many people are observant enough to detect that about him though.
