Naginata may not be a Chinese word, but Chinese cavalry and infantry did use the weapon... I can't remember what they called it.

Here are my thoughts:
-In the chinese zodiac, rabbit has a fixed element of wood. As such, if you change this weapon, perhaps bear wooden armaments in mind. (If you were going for Japanese, I'd recommend a mallet. Rabbit in the moon.)

-The symbolism of rabbits in Chinese writing is a bit choppy. Often considered demonic, they are also sometimes used to symbolize hope.

- Here's an interesting bit. I thought the rabbit on the moon was strictly Japanese. Yet, Chinese mythos speaks of a rabbit living on the moon, making the elixir of life and herbal medicine, and accompanying the lunar deity Chang-Ngo. Knowing this, I'm going to point out things that may help with symbolism: Plants, medicine, and the moon, of course!

Yet, these are based on the concept of rabbits in Chinese classical literature. I'm not fully certain what Tu is supposed to represent in metafurs, so perhaps other symbolism is needed. Just thought I'd stick some ideas in your head.

Well tu is what I got when I looked up rabbit in Chinese. I read a story about the rabbit living on the moon, the one I read though said she came down as a beautiful woman to fight some kind of evil, cant remember what though. I will work with the medicines thing but what I read depicted her as some kind of warrior, so I would like to see if this is some many different types of a same story thing. I was going to have her actually have lucky feet in a sense. I relies her weapon and armor needs to change, I was accidentally working with Japanese ideas.

The idea written up for metafurs is one that happens later in the series, meaning it can be changed or scrapped and totally redone. The constellations are presented more after Ursa minor is kidnapped and in Ursa majors rage she literally slaps leo down to earth and makes her way to get her daughter back. The idea was Tu was supposed to see leo fall and jump to earth to assist in what is happening. The idea of her being a healer actually helps in this then cause she could help heal Leo from his sever injuries.
