Audi's Le Mans Prototype program in the new millennium led to a legend being formed - the R8. It cleaned up in endurance racing, and when it was retired from racing, the car was honored with its name being christened to Audi's newest sports car.

Audi's first supercar, the R8, was originally only sold as a coupe. A few years later, the convertible was introduced, with the same great reception as the original, minus the top.
