Unlike the coupe, the R8 Convertible's engine was hidden under sheetmetal, mostly because of the need for space to store the top when it was down.

This kit has a fully detailed engine, but for some reason, there is no way to actually see it. The smaller panel on the back of the car opens, but all you can see is the air cleaner housing. This is the part of the kit that disappoints me.
