Now this fellow is a Saint Vincent Amazon Parrot. He's found only on the Lesser Antilles island of Saint Vincent, and is threatened by development of the island resources. The Houston Zoo is involved in conservation of the species, having been the first zoo to successfully hatch and raise the parrot in captivity.

Unfortunately, the fencing used by the zoo does make photographing the avian wildlife difficult, this is the best I could do under the circumstances.
