An Imperial enchanter wouldn't remove them, as Sourcery is illegal under imperial law. :P And yes, it is distinctly dictatorial to illegalise something the individual has no choice in, but as stated by one of the members of the Imperial Council that passed the law in the first place some three hundred years prior, "Possessing such power is beyond your choice, but using it is not."

And it reminds me of Dragon Age's cruel method of controlling magic users although they were in constant danger of being possessed by demons :P
Why does this empire ban usage of magic? general public safety since what we've seen majority of sorcerers seem borderline insane. XD
