You might recognise the uniforms from the picture of Shamara's parent's, that's because the Ironfang is part of small fleet of freighters, three total, part owned by house Makane. Hence why they have the same uniform but in the colors of house Werranth in this case which happen to be almost the same as house Makane, except with browns instead of red and ofcourse a different looking commbadge.

Anyways, due to her similar fur colors Nessa fits in rather well with her adoptive family who all happen to be silver tabby patterned and the only things that make Nessa stand out are her leopard pattern and shorter height.
Due to her smaller stature and strength Nessa had to find other ways to gain acceptance and respect among the Rakshani crew, learning to be far more assertive amongst she develloped a sharp mind since she could hardly intimidate someone physically. She also quickly learned that she had better agility and speed compared to the Rakshani and soon learned to use that to her advantage in a fight or sports which won her some respect.

While her sister and herself both started out studying for engineering, Nessa soon added accounting and communications to her studies and was looking to become part of the bridge crew while still having a degree in engineering, which again in turn gained her more respect and even the interest of one or two males.
That said, though, she still had her problems since several of the crew would continue to pick on her but thankfully she could often count on Krivva to have her back in those situations and it would happen less and less aside from a small stubborn group that found entertainment in starting a fight or arguement with one or both of the sisters.

So there you have it, a bit more backstory on both of them. :3
