This painting was done as a tribute to my Telodeinopus assiensis "Citrus" who died in a tragic accident lately.
His death was a horrible experience, since it was my fault that he had to die. I did not notice that he climbed down at the side of the terrarium when I shut the door. It was an ExoTerra Terrarium with swing doors and I totally underestimated the lever action of that door - it was'nt even shut but the slight moving of that door was enough to cut his body in half. -_- I felt so helpless.

It happened three weeks ago and I tried to overcome his death first by moving his conspecific "Schoko" into a new terrarium, where no accidents can happen anymore, then by buying some other millipedes on an exhibition which moved in to Schoko's new terrarium and finally by painting this picture. I found a place for it on the wall above the terraria and I think I can finally rest now.
