I also have the type advantage on that houndour. With winter here though I got to be careful of any snowball slingers. Big weakness to ice.

as far as constructive criticism, and its not even anything really, but maybe just add a little more to the Pichu's chest hair.
It just looks a lil blan.

Very nice, I actually rather like how this came out, you took a few little nicks and worked with them - IE the paws sunk into the grass, something that most artists would probably've neglected in a moment of absent mindedness...

I couldn't quite pinpoint what was wrong with the anatomy of the hound, though digisushi said the head was a bit big for the body. Anything else you think may be off?

Also for the characters they may be a bit too bright for when I started I was gonna make this look more like a late afternoon scene, but thought a night scene would be better.

well, for suggestion, the back leg could use some more 'animal hip' to it.... i.e., it looks too much like the front leg, like straight down and not enuff of the round curve... but no, i dont think u ripped off anyone's art, your just getting better is all >wO

 k-puz is right at the anatomy of the houndour, you made its head very big. I can't blame you for that though, as dog anatomy is difficult ^_^ (at least for me)
At the other extreme of the critic, your pichu has an awesome expression!! very cool!! you should study more tha official art for pichu though as you did his arms too wide.
The strawberry cream colored pichu at the back seems very delicious!! (I think I'm hungry right now)
About the background, it is too dark to see the details but I think it's done very good, like in a non-moon night were there's no moon to illumine.

I find dog anatomy to be very difficult because I don't have a dog at home to observe, so all I got is references from photos and official art. Houndour I thought would have a bigger head since its smaller and cuter than houndoom, but I see it's still too big if I were to picture it at a different angle.

I also think the pichu arms look a little big, once now that I've seen it closer, but I guess more reffing is needed. I used to look at official art a lot more before and I didn't reference this one so maybe I should study it more.
