Nope, in fact I've only ever played it once in my life, and I don't remember it well.

Well apparantly they're already remade (or have made) NiGHT's into Dreams for the PS2 over in Japan/China. Hopefully they'll be releasing an English NTSC/PAL version to go with the release of the Wii sequal because theres a high demand for it.

^^ It's cute. the only problem i see with it is the way the face moves, the eyes moving more than the cheekbone does. If anything else, more shading would make it look completed.

There's also the far arm. Though that's actually the only thing I really noticed. o3o~

Actually, it's not a cheekbone. It's his nose.

I love the way the eyes kinda shift around as he sways. :D It's super cute, and shows a cool kind of character to this little sprite

*nods* What program did you use to animate him? I've got a version of my av that I want to animate, got the frames all set, just don't have a program to stick them all together with.

I used an old old old old old program called The Games Factory to animate and draw him. I really love the way it handles pixel work. Then, after all the frames were complete, I turned each one into it's own separate .gif file and animated them in Macromedia Fireworks. There are much cheaper gif animators on the internet. I just can't remember what they are right now. XD

I wanna see him in a video game or something, there's just something about his movements

Despite the small scale (which is never really a bad thing) I like how fluid the animation is, and they way you slightly anti-aliased the curl in his hat to look smoother. This'll sound odd, but, this is what Lemmings would be like if it was a higher resolution, and you controlled elves around instead. The design has that soft, malliable feel.

Hehe, it does look sorta Lemmings-ish, doesn't it? I honestly didn't have any plans for him when I made him. I just was like "I wanna make a cute pixel art character thing. A green thing." And then this popped out and I animated it. I wanna do more animations for him now.

I think it is precious. I really want to break into doing some pixel work myself. Did you just draw this out first, or just do the pixel work completely on your own with no guide lines?

I just did it all in pixel form. It's on a small scale, so it doesn't really need to be drawn out beforehand. I just made it up as I went along.

Good pixel art tutorials? Hmm... I used to know of a bunch, but it's been years since I last saw them, I dunno if they're around any longer. I'm sure if you just do a Google search for "Pixel Art Tutorial", you should find some good matches, like this one I just found (and hey, an old friend of mine made that, go fig)
