what a coinky-dink. I always figured Cape Suzzete would be located in Hawaii. I even have a spot picked out on one of the islands that mirrors the famous cliff entrance almost perfectly. In my fic universe Cape Suzette was founded entirely by Mobians (Sonic name for morphs) as a haven away from human rule and influence.

It thrived on ship building and exportation of fleet vessels to neighboring human nations. Napolean tried to capture the port during the French Revolution only to have his armada decimated by cannon fire raining down from the cliffs where his cannons couldnt reach.

In WWI the cliff gun battery was updated and manned at all times to defend the port against the enemy. In the post WWI period the guns served a new purpose, to protect against attack from pirates. The cliff battery was suplimented by a private mercenary airforce known as the Flying Legion commanded by Shere Kaun.

My vulpix morph wife and I ran away to the cape cause our mixed species marriage was legal there. I joined the legion as one of their fighter pilots.

After WWII however when Hawaii was annexed the Legion was disbanded and Dixie and I returned to Texas where it was now legal for us to be wed.
