This is Diet Cola.
It is a Coronan.
For linguistic purposes, we'll just say it's a he for now.
He is a major character in my novel for NaNoWriMo 2012, SpaceMeat

There is a lot of significance to the name. However if I were to explain it, it would exceed the character limit in this box.
This is a science fiction - dark comedy with some bizarro fiction elements (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bizarro_fiction).
It is very hard to explain.
It might be the novel I've always wanted to write, if I were to write a novel.
It is about a squirrel finally achieving the exquisite death it always dreamed of.
It's about symbols being a tool for manipulation, and humanity being rather unprepared for that.
It is about the disgusting habits of one Richard Milhouse Nixon.
It's about survival, communication and metamorphosis.
It is about Dan Quayle beating an elf to death with a sack of potatoes.
It's about saving Earth by separating signs from meanings.
It is about the saddest genetically-engineered assassin who drowns his awful life in a growler of whiskey.
It is about a bookish, sharpshooter woman who chooses perilous hope over relatively comfortable, but inevitable doom.
It's about a pretty damn durable zombie getting shot in half and then into tiny little pieces.
It is about a polymath from Persia who escaped one oppressive regime, only to find himself under the boot of another one, over-and-over again. (Will he ever break the cycle?)
It is about the main character becoming less human over time, and discovering that he's also caring about it less and less over time as well. (who knew?)
As you can tell, I'm pretty proud of what I've made right now. That's because I haven't started revising yet. My excitement will fade then. You'll see. YOU'LL SEE!
