Considering, dear, that the lineart was something more than 8 years out of date, I should say it pre-dates Revolutionary Girl Utena by a fair bit. It is somewhat loosely based on a mix of things from Mamoru Nagano's Five Star Stories concept-wise (his Fatimas, used as organic computers for his mecha), and design-wise is based around many of Toshiro Hirano's work, specifically that used when he drew the mid-1980's OVA "Iczer 1".

Nonetheless, With the color scheme, I can see where you may take that thought. Considering I had not specified any specific colors, I find the mix interesting.

I take it no one knows of the anime Revolutionary Girl Utena.
