The paper copy, of course, looks better than after I scanned it. I draw rather lightly and my scanner does not approve of lines below a certain value, so I had to touch-up on it in Corel Painter Essentials 2 which, to my dismay, did very little to help and in my opinion almost scrapped what was previously a somewhat decent image.
I should get a better program to draw with. I should also practice faces a lot more. Faces tend to dislike my attempts. I shall conquer their resistance!
The calligraphy is my own. I decided to make some intricate designs to accompany female-sounding speech, at least for my own personal enjoyment that I get to use my pens.
It brings me enjoyment to hear enjoyment from my work and tips on how to improve it, so please comment on what to keep or change as I will be trying a few similar art styles, mostly for the face.

I did it all with 0.5 mechanical pencil lead, printer paper, and a clipboard while lounging and flipping through some manga. The form is usually a close resemblance to a mix of a few reference pictures, but the hair and shading is completely custom. It makes different viewing sides kind of hard to create since my hair does not sit the same on the top of my head. XP
I will probably adjust the top of my hair a bit over the next few images until I find something I can settle with.
