That time of year again. And once again I prove that I can't do a Christmas card without putting a chickadee or cardinal in it. This fellow is loosly based on a Peary caribou. Love them! Now just to put on the text, print them out ande get them in the mail. I'm actually early this year!

This is wonderful. I love the way the reindeer and the ribbons pop outside the frame the background colors make. It adds a feeling of the third dimension and a sense of life.
I also like the chickadee. They are perhaps my favorite bird. I can't really explain their personality except that perhaps they are so small that everything else around them is bigger, so it doesn't really matter; it's all huge, it's all the same, so there's no reason to be afraid of anything in particular. In any case it's not usually a problem of taming the chickadee, when of a sudden you're surrounded by a flock of them when you're sitting quietly in the woods. It's more like waving your arms madly to shoo them away, unless you want them landing on your shoulder, your hand, your antlers, whatever else you happen to have. They are loads of fun.

Oh gosh this is gorgeous. I love the cool colours you picked. I love how clean the hair tufts are on his neck and the deep red you got in the ribbon and holly. I absolutely love how you did his eye and that Chickadee is too cute! I take it you will be giving these/selling these?
A the classic colors of Christmas; white, red, and green each is very nice proportions to. An of course cannot forget the birds, as I do see a very nice what looks like a sparrow to me resting on one of the antlers; it is a very fine image as make a great Christmas card as well.
