Part of the final project for the graphic novels section of Advanced Drawing is a two page spread. I had three options for one in my story, but one was more of a traveling sequence, and the other was epic spoilers for the end of the story that I'd like to keep hush till I actually finish all the pages and everything...
But that's alright, cause I like this one.
During their trek through the Thornmoth forest, after several very strenuous days of....well...sheer terror...Talbot and Cerus find a friendly looking little clearing and bed down for the night, for some much needed rest. Unfortunately, said clearing is a gathering/nesting place for a concentration of loud gryphons. These gryphons are based off of Ringed Kingfishers and Kookaburras...
And if you've ever heard a group of laughing kookaburras having a...well...a laugh....You can imagine what that would be like in a dense forest in the middle of the night, and probably understand why this poor bastard is reacting so poorly to it.
I won't have time to ink this one like the others, but I'm working on a quick photoshop version of it in black and white, and its turning out great, so that will be the cleaned up one I post when its finished. Lots of heavy blacks, YAY!
A preview of said photoshop version can be seen here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9344428/
