sassy gaming industry commentary , Hurray! but who cares about that, lets talk about the "Journey".
Journey . Man what a game. A game so powerful i didn't had to play it to feel its effects. since i have no Ps3, but i was really impress with the art style so i decided to check out playthrouh on youtube and i basically stayed glue to the screen the whole time, reacting and feeling every twist and turn like if i was playing it, and by the time i realize it , i saw the whole game. its a pretty short game but man what a ride. if i ever get a Ps3 , it would probably just get it for this game ...and the last guardian..if it ever comes out... :/
so if you have a Ps3, buy it!! these people deserve to have money thrown at them. and the game also has an Artbook. Guess what i want for christmas?
cheers

Achievements? On a PS3 exclusive? XD
Joking aside, this is a really true statement. I think one reason why Journey is my favourite console game of the year is because it's like a breath of fresh air. It's not cluttered with a lot of the obnoxious things that have become pervasive in this generation of games. I love how the multiplayer, which is usually a tacked on feature of a game to decrease game returns, is so seamless and unusually interactive. You really feel like you're on a quest with a companion and you want to help each other to survive. It's very moving and the way multiplayer *should* be like in more games, not just blasting each other while screaming obscenities (which is fine but is just overdone at this point).
Also, try Unfinished Swan. It's similar in that it's an art-house type indie game. Really good as well. Even has a little Journey easter egg in it ;3

Dude, when this part came up, I cried some. (Only linking the soundtrack to prevent spoiler-age)
The game was moving in all the right ways. Playing it is an entire experience, I lucked out and was paired with the same first-timer for the whole game the first time I played.
There were no words there at the very end, but it was perfect.

It was really quite amazing! Just kind of... short :T I mean, I really took my time and marveled at this piece of lovely art but then I finished it in 2 hours anyway... And I didn't exactly feel like playing it again. Like, ever.
I'm pretty sure I would have had the same experience if I had just watched a playthrough on youtube.
So I think as a piece of art it is very successful but as an actual game it simply falls flat.

Seconds later Megatron appears and roars like a lion before his head randomly explodes in an unrealistically sized explosion that splits the world in two. The army arrives and says a bunch of swearing. Bumblebee pisses on one of the Journey creatures' head. Optimus Prime gives a short dramatic speech and the game ends.
I remembering seeing this picture. xD I thought I'd share this with you, it's an offical video from thatgamecompany. :) Your wish as sort of come true. xDD
