odd local landmark...this sculpture was supposed to be a gateway to a wildlife sanctuary, but couldn't be put there because of concerns of low flying plains from a nearby airport.. now it sits in the middle of a sod farm

yeah. I pass it every day on my way to work. It is hard to tell from the picture but is about three stories high

I know. I thought it was the coolest thing. How they built it I wonder is beyond me. Specially since it was built years after the furnace was closed down.
