Sketch progression of this painting.
The painting was done on three layers. Top was the first, just a rough outline for bodyshape, weighting, pose and size of the gun.
The second layer is the sketch below, which I drew right over the top of the first, using screenshots for reference to get the rifle right. Also adjusted the pose slightly to match with the shape of the weapon more nicely. Then I added the coloured background, copied this second sketch layer and made the original invisible.
The painting above was then painted directly over the copy on a single layer. Last thing I added was the red glow, on a seperate layer after I finished the main work, because it didn´t look good without.
Just in case anybody cares how I did this or w/e.
