That sketch... but not a sketch anymore.
This took way too long to finish, both because i was slightly uninspired and because i had a lot of small periods of time to work on it where i couldn't do a whole lot. It came out alright...
All the curves here are freehand... (my curves almost always are, unless i happen to find something laying around that's the right size for a circle i need - like a cd.) i have to say, that's a bitch. But i broke down and used a ruler for the straight lines (well, the ray-beam-things in the upper right quadrant at least.)
I have to say, i think geometry is starting to rival unicorn mares in the sexiness department.
I've been listening to even more Pink Floyd than usual ( = a lot) so expect things to get even better. Because that is good music for creation...
Though i also might take a break from visual art and work on music of my own some, since i haven't done that in months. We'll see.
Oh, i'll note that i got a .3mm mechanical pencil finally! This is the first piece i used it on, and it was fun and happifying to do so. ...I'm very meticulous about detail, and i don't think i'll ever be able to use the .7mm pencils again, bleh. I'm already wishing i had a .2 or .1 ...for those superfine details, lol. But i don't know if such a thing exists!

*restrains herself somehow from coloring it*
I think it makes a nice symbol.
If you end up failing to control that urge, let me know and i'll give you a high-res image. This one's got a lot of detail loss (i hate that... but i don't want it to be huge here, you know?)
Btw, Pink Floyd is love.
Thanks, glad you like it!
and I adore the slight folds of skin on the hip and back
Great job again dood
I love geometry too, but she's got better curves than anything I saw in my geometry books. And 0.3? I can't even can't imagine drawing with a 0.3 pencil. I didn't think they made it that small.
The stylized uterus is a classy peice. You've really been on a roll lately.
Great work!

I love this picture. =)
And of course! Your work is gorgeous, hon.
This is turning out super-gorgeous-rific!
I absolutely LOVE the symbol... I never thought a uterus could be pretty! But, you did it!
And all your symbols and shapes--- Guh! So pretty!!!
The mare's Markings are stunning too! O_O
OMG this is just too pretty!!! I hate you!! <3<3<3<3
Beautiful work as always EC!
And the rest of her too.
The way the tail properly extends from her spine.
Her rump retaining the fine lines of a mare but a bit more plump from being a bi-pedal morph.
The head and especially the ears are all wonderfully done.
Thanks muchly for her. :)
I once saw a Kolinor pencil set that had .9 .7 .5 .3 .2 .1 .05 .01 pencils, a 'lead holder' and a 'eraser holder' along with a fountain style inking pen. The set was $350 and included a dozen leads for each, five for the Lead holder, and a pot of ink. But that was back in 1989 when not everyone had switched to CAD for most everything. No days finding the really exotic stuff is really rare because of the ease at which CAD systems make everything.
This piece is stunning, like most of your work.
Pregnant equines are not sexy.
Pregnant equines are holy.
Also, I feel your pain, I swear to god no matter what the medium they just don't make a fine enough tool for application. =P
Also, awesome stylization of the womb there. You are so awesome at this. I envy the very artistic manner in which you use symbolism in your art. I wish I could do that.
I crave so badly to have a very deep, thoughtful meaningful style and expression, full of emotion and statement. I look at your work and I can see more them just lines, shapes, figures, color, I can see into your mind, and sometimes farther. I envy your ability to reach out and touch others in that manner. One day I hope I'll be able to do that myself.
I like background a lot ^__^.
Backgrounds on your pics are always awesome. And I think they are in a perfect harmony with characters
As for the symbols, well... the womb is a womb - with an ankh inside it to symbolize the new life. The stuff on the left side is mostly just fancy nothings - well, the tree also is a life and growth symbol. The middle part of the conglomerate is a symbol i've used recently to represent myself (It's also in my 'within the dream' image, and it might become a more regular signature element at some point) 4 key shafts from a central hub, the bottom one crossed and an outer arrowed circle reminiscent of a chaos-star thingy.
The arc of stuff below the hoof is the date... though you probably figured that out. (XII IV MMVII)
Ack! I just noticed the curve is not curved very well in the beginning part of the date... bleh.
As for the six teardrops, i'm not sure what those are for. My muse told me to draw them but didn't tell me why. :p
I love the abstract sense to it.
