This is kinda how I felt when I was watching my home of CO burn up.. Flying W Ranch.. a place of my childhood.. completely burned down.. I was stuck in TX at the time too.. somewhat glad my that I was safe but a little pissed as I wanted to help out with animal rescues and make sure my fam was ok whic they were
*nods* We've had our share of giant forest fires, too. Luckily for us, though, there's just so MUCH forest, usually it's not too big of a deal for the ecosystem, just gives a chance for young forest to grow in, but the really BIG ones are bad :( Still, gotta feel bad for the local wildlife and any rural areas that might get caught in it =/
Thank you so much for the lovely comment <3
No kidding. Was just having a discussion the other day with a friend about how often times nature can be so idolized as being, y'know, all happy trees and chipmunks and animals living in balance and stuff, and forget all the horrible crappy stuff that happens in it, too o_o

Indeed. I mean, the natural world is filled with horrible murder and ingenious ways of killing, hurting, and tricking each other, but the biggest difference is that people know better and can go against "their instincts/nature" - you can't blame a killing machine for killing, but you can blame a mentally sound human being :b
Such high resolution contrast color and to me really shows just how ferocious and ruthless mother nature can be, and all the same the way that life is. I think the fact this is a massive forest fire is like looking westward unto the mountains and California. I think as well the wolf is either doing a rallying cry, or in opes fore it to stop. The second part is the lightning, more than likely starting the blaze in the first place, this again another fine image.
