Half an half (which is why these are in scraps)
The Capn uses the MLP wiki, T-shirt designs, official vectors an advertisements an then he either combines them, edits them together, or draws in additions to make the scenes work.
Its obviously not fully his own design freehand, but he tries to change everything jus enough to be somewhat originalish ^^;
Still he wouldn' claim to own this. He's jus tryin to share some fun.

A little clipping trouble there in the last panels with Rarity, it looks like her legs are behind her belly, all four of them. There si no squish to indicate that her hooves have started balooning yet so it looks a bit strange, but otherwise keep at it! The comic is bringing back memories

Her legs aren't caught up with the rest of her yet though, ye are right. Ol'Squeaks guesses he jus liked the shape of her belly there XD
