Drawing details isn't all that hard, but it's a pain in crowds like this...sometimes at least...you can see all the simplification on the ones further away...

This is really cool. It kind of reminds me of the movie "Logan's Run."

Neither have I. Only seen parodies and short clips.

Hmmm, Logan's Run is definitely not what comes to mind when I see this. Something more like Total Recall. Or maybe Mass Effect. Well-populated space-ish environment. Logan's run struck me as decidedly sparse. 'Course, part of that probably was budget constraints.

Man, your stuff is always amazing. I love the detail you always put in your pics, from the cold breath on the foreground characters to the detail on that massive ship. Every time I see one of your space or fighting pics I feel like I am getting a glimpse of a story that is just beyond. Do you take your references from anywhere, or do you just make up all of this? Because everything looks so planed out. You seem to have quite an imagination, if you have all of this up in your head. :P

Well, technically there is a story beyond everything, and yes, I make it all up in my head...even have the concept sketches for most of them still lying around somewhere. But yeah, every race has its very own style of building ships, architecture etc. . I actually just finished a kind of data-sheet on the Verians, I'll update that soon though it focuses more on what Verians look like, behave, etc.

Anyways, I'm glad you enjoy my work so much ^^

But this scene is very well done. Wonderfully rendered. Love that cargo ship in the background. At first I thought it was a little hovering ship, no bigger than an actual person, but then I got a closer look at some of the occupants in the cockpit, and the lone character standing on a rather large container and said "Yeah, that's a big ass ship"

Most of it really just comes up to me...some of the designs are based on old drawings of mine from a few years back, but the concepts have mostly stayed the same
Sometimes tere's reference involved, but it really depends on the type of design

That's why most of my earlier work has all been mostly in pencil and in sketch form. That way I can re-visit and tweak the hell out of em!
