Is that actually working out? I once had rats and mice in the same cage and the rats ended up trampling the mice and ultimately at them.

oh yes it does.. my rats love everything.. i have a bunny who lives with them also.. they clean her all the time.. its so cute. we have a few mice in with our rats. they all sleep together and on top of each other!!

Pet allergies are usually from the pet dander (saliva) rather than the hair itself XD Which is why you don't usually see people allergic to cats with a sphinx C:

Also, about the picture: I love it. It shows that rats can be as loving and accepting as any other pet. When my brother and I were growing up, he had two large boy rats and I had a girl gerbil. We let them run around on the couch together XD One of the rats would actually try to HIDE under my gerbil lol So, even though the story of how rats and mice "get along" in the wild can be true; tamed rats can really get along with everyone C: They are so loving ♥

Its not funny at all. Rats can kill, as cute as they may be. Even parrots can kill one another! It may not seem likely but it can happen. Its better to be safe than sorry. And frankly, since I know you also own snakes and use some of your mice as feeder animals, I really don't think you give a shit.

lol i do give a shit... my rats that breed are well cared for.. they get pet and held and out of cage time all the time.. dont sit here and say i dont care when you dont know me..

I owned a rat for three years and she was a very sweet rat, but I knew she would pose a danger to a mouse. I know enough about them to know this isn't a smart idea. Its POSSIBLE that they will be safe together for the remainder of the lives,but you are playing a risky gamble. Do you understand that?

Animals can turn on each other if they are in a bad mood (even if they previously got along!),what if that happens with Papa rat? What if you aren't there to stop the fight? The mouse could get killed or seriously hurt. I feel that you don't give a shit because other people have warned you about various things you are doing with your guys, but you just hide the comments or go "LOL NOPE You're wrong!". Perhaps you have good intentions,but that doesn't always mean you are doing the right thing.

i do understand that things can go wrong.. but my cats and dogs live together no problems also.. and they could turn on each other.. but no one ever says that cuz its just how people do things,, i know papa enough that i know he would never hurt a fly.. and the girls with him also.. trust me.. i would not have any of my animals together if i thought they were in danger.. just cuz i own snakes does not mean i hate all other animals. i do love all my animals.. and if i EVER see any kind of fights they would be moved in a second.. i am with my animals a lot.. also the mouse lives with Wolf now.. and not the rabbit so the rabbit can not hurt the mouse.. the mouse is way to small to live with the bunny.. my rats are all big.. around the same size as the bun bun.. and like i said.. they are all fine together.

Mice and rats can sometimes tolerate each other. Otherwise, rats will kill things smaller than them invading their homes just as humans do. Separating them would be optimal.

Also, what kind of shavings do you use? I know pine and cedar can cause respiratory issues. I suggest switching to shredded paper or something similar. It's cheap and safe :)
