I'm still working out the details, but here's a simple list of characters.
-Officer
-Gruff, civilized, bit of a know-it-all attitude.

-Droid
-Strong yet humble, knows the extent of his power and keeps it buried, quiet, slightly curious, mostly serious.

-Scientist
-Wise, puts faith in facts and knowledge, calm, somewhat vulnerable.

-Lift Operator
-Lazy, snarky, joking, somewhat rude.

-Various workers
-Tough, arrogant, bossy, don't like to be told what to do.

-Investigator
-Suspicious, shrewd, intent on poking his nose into everyone's business. Has a voice like a hidden dagger, calm, soft, almost soothing, but when provoked it becomes sharp and dangerous.

-Facility Director
-Scared, willing to help however possible, talks quickly.

-Pilot
-No-nonsense, I-don't-care-what-you-think kind of attitude, barges in often, considers himself invincible.

I'd say the scientist or the Facility Director, but the choice is yours.
