I never really wanted to give myself an avatar displaying any of my story characters because, to be quite frank, I was horrified at the thought of lonely, horndog furfags would start thinking I'm a female dragon named "ausfer" and then try to RP with me, ask for my personal info, or leave me creepy comments about how "cute I am", and ect.

evalion has forced my hand by drawing me an animated avatar of Nixi that I LIKE TOO MUCH TO NOT USE. What a prick!
This avatar is based off of my skype one, which is a drawing of a dude at the computer looking at the screen and giving an "Oh god, why?" face. We joked that it's Nixi seeing what the readers of Dragon Ranch look like in real life. But really, this is what I'd imagine Nixi's face would be if she could read the comments I get on the stories and fanart about her.
I'm sure she'd have so many questions...

"What does 'Yiffmurr tiem' mean, Kyle?"
"They...they want to marry me? What... I don't even know these people."

That face reminds me of the first time I ventured to this site...now i'm somewhat desensitized but every so often i'll stumble into one of those pics in someones favorite that will bring that expression back on my face.

I get that sorta thing in PM, since I haven't given out my messengers for that very reason lol. But you know it's gonna be rough the moment you realize they wanna tell you what they want to see your character do...or see happen to your character..and then you also realize, that they don't want to say so publicly, even on a furry site.

The animated version is cool. The glow of horror, lol. It makes it look as though she's just stumbled upon the furry version of "The Ring." AKA, the comment sections of popular dragon porn, lol. Or worse, they're PMing her with their fantasies! Hopefully she doesn't end up a withered husk in the closet after seven days.
If you draw it all out as a group of PNGs or other high quality images, you can usually use irfanview to convert them to high quality gifs and I believe gimp can animate them without quality loss. So you won't get that decreased color depth effect when you make a gif. Not saying it's bad, just giving a tip if you want to make a high quality one. :P

But unfortunately, I have to burst your bubble: this really isn't what Nixi's personality is like at all. XD Nixi can't even read or talk in ways humans can understand so everything about this image is very much non-canon for the story... I just added those quotes in for the sake of humor. The real Nixi, in a few words, is strong-willed, devious, playful, and manipulative. If anything, she'd probably just be amused by the creepy comments... but there's nothing funny about that, is there? :P
