Do you have any pointers on brushes? I am kind of new with the program. It would be wonderful if you had a few pass on points. :)

hmmm tips... I don't really know what I could say to help. I just usually mess around with the brushes till I get a satisfying stroke
Also I learned the program by watching ppl's livestreams , artists better then me who know the program well. it helps cuz you see exactly how they use the tools , for what they use them and what presets they have to get those results. Also there are loads of tutorials about sai I recommend looking for some either google them [images] or search on DA there are a lot there.
In this picture for example I painted everything on one layer. I painted in gray scale and added the colors at the end. I used the pencil for sketching and filling the drawing for rough shading I used the brush at a reduced opacity and for blending I used the watercolor or marker tool
