This one's for:
Graeth
On his way south Graeth (the character) met a flock of red (sp)arrows (ROF'us BAE Hawk'us), apparently suffering from diarrhoea (the red-blue-white kind) and not very talkative.
I feel burnt out... As probably evident by the picture.

That's an interesting brush you're using on the viewer's far left on the bottom, may I ask which one is that? I have a set of brushes I converted from Zhu (I believe that's his name) for Painter. The bottle brush is obviously a joke, but http://www.anime.net/~arshesnei/pai.....watercolor.jpg but the link is below for download: http://www.anime.net/~arshesnei/pai.....lor%20Dabs.zip
What? ZhuZhu shared his brushes?! Now that's news. I love his stuff - very unique and painterly. Whoa, Idiot Apathy too... Thanks! I'll have to browse CA more thoroughly sometime. I, on the other hand, sometimes use Davi's brushes. This is the link, I think: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sh.....ad.php?t=95750
But there in teh bottom left corner I mostly used Variable oil pastel - the interesting patterns are due to different papers. The small lines is Davi's Fine Tip brush. The blury strokes on the right is one of my own invention (not very good - pretty sluggish and not very interesting on higher rez), i could find some place to upload my stuff if you're interested.

Zhu Zhu shared his Photoshop brushes, I took two of them and played with it in Painter by capturing the dab. I actually gave the conversion to Davi when I was on the IRC and he told me "Bottle brush sucked" and I laughed XD

If your brush is getting sluggish at a higher resolution, try changing the spacing - that's what I do.

Nice! Thanks for the links!.
Yes, I used to do that, but now I keep it at the optimum setting i've found - it looks very crappy if the spacing is too wide. Since it's a bristle brush, not a captured one, it becomes flatter at bigger sizes and not very interesting - i use it at this kind of size mostly anyhow.
Lol. Bottle brush. Must be a classic. :]

Thanks.
It's called Hammerspace. :]
Go to Thailand, climb some cliffs, find a swami here and there and you'll learn it alright. Trust me.

Actually, there's a lot to love here, man, for all that you're feeling burned out. You done a really good job controlling your value scheme. That dragon pops wonderfully, and the whole image reads pretty well at thumbnail size, which is no mean feat. Good handling on color, too, considering how bright/saturated those reds are. Pat yourself on the back and take a well-deserved break!
